In 2017, Thiem began dating Kristina Mladenovic, a fellow tennis player. They announced their relationship in May 2018 and then divorced in November 2019. Despite his on-court struggles, Thiem’s love life began to take a turn in 2021, when he was rumoured to have started dating contortionist and skater Lili Paul Roncalli in October 2020, after splitting up with his former lover, WTA player Kristina Mladenovic, in November 2019. Paul-Roncalli is best known as the winner of the reality show Let’s Dance. Dominic Thiem personally validated the rumours about his new love when he revealed the cause for his breakup with Mladenovic on a talk show in November 2020.
